Andover War Memorial Hospital provides in-patient rehabilitation, maternity services, a day surgery unit, diagnostic services and a minor injuries clinic. In addition, an outpatient unit opened in 2010.
The site also houses the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, where the multi-disciplinary team provide a 10 bed inpatient unit, a hospice at home and home care services, a day centre service and outpatients clinic. The team works closely in partnership with Hampshire Hospitals specialist palliative care service, community and hospital teams, as well as community care teams and GPs.
The Minor Injuries Clinic in Andover is a by appointment only service, led by emergency nurse practitioners and emergency paramedic practitioners who are experienced in treating minor injuries.
The hospital is a 10 minute walk from the mainline train station. It is approximately 20 minutes’ walk from the town centre or a 5 minute bus ride from the town centre. The bus stops outside the hospital.
