Hampshire Hospitals is proud to run a supported internship programme with Project Choice, offering young people with learning disabilities, difficulties and/ or autism the chance to gain work experience within our hospitals.

About Project Choice

Young people will need to have an active Educational Health Care plan (EHCP). The project lasts for one academic year (September –July). The overall aim of the programme is to help young adults to gain work experience, improve employability and independence skills. Each intern will have up to three placements during the year within Hampshire Hospitals. These can be at Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester. Each cohort is supported by the Project Choice Team.

How to apply

You will need to complete an application form, recruitment usually takes place in February / March each year, when this starts, it will be advertised through information sessions. You will be invited to a group day which will include an interview, so we can get to know more about you. This is so we know where you would be interested in working and what skills you have.
